What aspects of service become important when making a personal recommendation? My personal criteria would require professionalism, honesty, trustworthiness, knowledge, and true compassion and care for service. Most importantly, would I put my name behind them and their reputation?

I've had the pleasure of working with Mark many times over the years. When we bought our first home with [him], he was patient, kind, and able to educate us on every step of the process. Now we're somewhat older, our family has grown, and our needs have changed. Once again he has worked hard to find the right home for us. And, as we've come to expect over the years (and several homes later) we continue to receive the same wonderful attention, service, and dedication every step of the way.

What most impresses me about Mark's team is their dedication to getting to know their clients. Their goal is not to find you a house, but a home. They are skilled at getting the best price for your current home by knowing exactly what is happening in the market at that time. By continued professional development and further education in their field, they know the latest market trends and how to use that information to best serve their clients.

As I write this letter, the answers to my questions become very clear. Mark and his team are true professionals. I trust them implicitly. They have always listened to the needs of my family. They're knowledgeable and an absolute joy to be around. And, yes, I have and will continue to put my name behind them. I hope you take an opportunity to work with Mark. I found Mark to be a consummate professional. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He made house hunting and purchasing painless with his thoroughness, perseverance and gentle guidance. His knowledge of the Fan area and Richmond was a big plus.

He definitely went the extra mile by setting up house hunting days around my heavy travelling schedule--sending me updates via e-mail about new listings and appointment schedules while I was travelling. I never felt out of touch. Responses to queries were always within the same day, sometimes within the same hour.

His easy manner was a calming influence during my whirlwind hunting expeditions. I never felt rushed or pressured. And he was very accommodating to friends and family who were involved in the hunt with me or were handling inspections in my absence as well as finding a local appraiser for my mortgage broker. He even drove me to my closing. In most cases, he thought of something that needed to be done and addressed it before I even thought of it. That is dedication.

Full service is often touted but rarely delivered. Not so in this case. It is a particular delight and joy to work with someone that is clearly dedicated to providing such service.

I look forward to offering my first referral to Mark. I know others will be as impressed with him as I am.
